Swimming for Fitness
Swimming for fitness is one of the best forms of exercise there is, and is a life long sport that can be enjoyed at all ages. Swimming has been shown to slow down the aging process, is easy on your body, keeps you going and fit, and makes you feel better in the process. And most swimmers surveyed commented that the social aspect - getting together with friends in the pool - was their #1 reason for swimming. Fitness Events
If you are a fitness swimmer and want to track your swimming, or join some fun events, there are a variety of unique ways to do so! Join the monthly fitness series, track your distance, or swim in a virtual championship. If that’s not your thing and you really just want to enjoy a number of swim workout options, USMS provides a workout library with workouts tailored to your level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and interest (stroke, distance, sprinting).

Here in the Southern Pacific we have the great pleasure of beautiful weather, multiple club and workout group options, lots of pools, and the ocean, to support our swimming goals! The SPMS local masters swimming community provides a large network of swimming options wherever you want to dive in. We are an open and inclusive group motivated by the love of swimming.
