There are two membership registration options
Online Registration and Mail-In Registration
Online Member Registration is the preferred method. Online registration is immediate and allows you to print out your membership card instantly. Click here and Register Now!
Mail-In Registration is the lesser alternative to online registration. Print out the 2013 Individual Registration Form and follow the instructions.

Q: What is my USMS Number?
Q: How can I get a copy of my USMS Membership card?
Q: If I am already registered with a club how do I compete in a meet as "Unattached".
A: For any meet that you want to compete as "Unattached", just list your club as "Unattached" on the meet registration form. You do not need to contact the registrar. You do not need to fill out a transfer form. There is no additional cost.
Q: I want to change clubs. What do I need to do?
A: You can change clubs when you re-register for a new year. Just fill out the registration form with your new club name. There is no waiting period if you change clubs at annual registration.
If you want to change clubs in the middle of the year, you are not allowed to compete for any club for 60 days prior to the change. You may compete as “Unattached” during this time. After the 60 days is up, you can fill out a SPMS Club Transfer Form. The local transfer fee is $5.00.
If you are transferring from outside SPMS, please complete the regular SPMS application. The transfer fee from other areas is $10.00.
Q: I filled out my paper registration form at an SPMS event and it has been a long time and I have not received my card. Where is it?
A: Registering online will prevent this problem. Sometimes there are delays in the delivery of the forms to the registrar. Email firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know where you filled out your registration and your name as it appears on the form.
Q: I mailed in my paper registration form in November and I still don't have my card. What's up?
A: Registering online will prevent this problem. We can't register swimmers for a club until the club has sent in their registration form. Very often we will have to hold registrations received in November and December until the club registers. Best bet: Ask your coach if your team has registered! Or email your name and club to email@example.com.
